Woman Leads Toledo Police On Car Chase

A woman led Toledo Police on a chase, evading a spike strip before finally being stopped but refusing to get out of her vehicle.

According to Toledo Police, the woman committed a traffic violation Downtown and refused to pull over for officers when they tried to stop her. Police said she managed to avoid a spike strip at Secor Road and Towerview Boulevard.Police arrested the woman, who was driving a black Dodge Grand Caravan, near West Central Avenue and Secor Road around 10:40 a.m. June 11.

“She led officers on a lengthy pursuit through Downtown, and they ended up terminating it,” said TPD Lt. Ron Frederick.

However, the woman was spotted minutes later at a Taco Bell on Airport Highway, and the chase started again, Frederick said. Police stopped her vehicle on West Central Avenue, but she refused to unlock the doors or speak to the officers.
